BIPOC DJ Workshop
AUTONOMOUS EVENT*
Ever wanted to expose a crowd to your (obviously) superior music taste? Do you want to get a taste of being the star in a boiler room youtube video?
We are providing a DJ workshop taught by experienced DJ’s Tsotsi and babygirlchanel for students of all experiences levels to get behind the decks. They will share information about skills like transitioning between songs, and at the end will share their advice on how they have taken their DJ careers further, and how to find gigs.
The BIPOC DJ Workshop works to empower the community by directly addressing the issues related to the lack of representation of BIPOC communities within our creative industries today.

*Autonomous: autonomous events are those that are only open to people who identify as BIPOC.
*Non-autonomous: events labelled as non-autonomous will be open to all, regardless of whether you identify as BIPOC or not!

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we will be meeting, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our Collective and we commit to standing with our First Nations people.
