The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples, and pays respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. Emphasis on sovereignty never being ceded.
Officer Report
Safe Space Update
James has been unreliable with meetings but promised written confirmation within a week.
The old Griffin room will be allocated, following asbestos removal and renovations.
Expected to be ready by the end of the year.
Remaining funds after the ball and Safe Scenes events can be allocated to the safe space.
Meeting with Karo
Planning another Fighting Bigotry and Racism Panel, focusing more on student experiences.
Intend to include BIPOC student reps from Uni Melb and UNSW for comparative discussions.

Motion to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) and organize a protest.
