Acknowledgement of Country

The ANU BIPOC Department acknowledges the traditional owners of this land, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We pay our respects to Elders, past, present, and emerging. We acknowledge that this land was stolen and sovereignty was never ceded. We welcome all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our Collective and commit to standing with our First Nations people.

    • Attendance at the NUS provided insights into student union and politics.

    • ANU is one of three functional BIPOC Collectives in the country, along with UTS and MSU.

    • UTS conducted a successful prayer room campaign; interest in assessing ANU's facilities.

      • Need information on the number and size of prayer rooms at ANU.

    • Policy completion expected in the next couple of weeks.

  3. Nominations

    • Nomination form is available on social media.

    • Eligibility for voting or running for officer requires attendance at two elections.
