Acknowledgement of Country

Officer Report

  1. Goals for the Year:

    • Constitutional Amendment

    • Improve Honoraria Tracking System

      • Discussion needed between Precious and Selena.

      • Working on compiling a list of all volunteers.

      • Deciding whether to track hours by end of semester or end of year.

      • Consider using software to track hours, but consistency and accuracy are concerns.

    • Focus on community-building events.

    • Step back from politically-focused social events, especially with the upcoming ball.

    • Non-autonomous BASC pres for AfroJamz event.

      • Improve engagement within BASC by hosting more autonomous events and sending out a suggestion form.

      • Reach out to ANU African Studies Network for potential collaboration.

      • Planning for Semester 2: BASC mixer, cultural day/potluck.

    • Discussion with Lodge BIPOC rep about BASC mixer location.

First Year Officer Report
