Role Overview: 

As a First Year Representative, you will be the link between first-year BIPOC students and the Department Executive, fostering engagement and creating a supportive community.

Responsibilities:

1. Event Organization:

   1. Organize at least one event per semester specifically for first-year BIPOC students, promoting inclusivity and community building.

2. Social Media Engagement:

   1. Create and manage engaging posts for our social media platforms to keep first-year students informed and involved in Department activities.

3. Meeting Participation:

   1. Attend weekly collective meetings to stay updated on Department initiatives and contribute to discussions.

4. Executive Assistance:

   1. Provide ad-hoc assistance to the Department Executive as needed, ensuring smooth operation and successful execution of Department goals.

Ideal Candidate:

• A first-year BIPOC student passionate about fostering a supportive and engaging community.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage events.

• Excellent communication skills, especially for social media content creation.

• A collaborative spirit with a willingness to assist and contribute to the Department's success.
